About Me

Welcome to my web page! I grew up in the lower mainland of B.C., Canada. Very soon after graduating high school, I moved to Burnaby, Vancouver, New Westminster and back to Vancouver. I put myself through college and University- earning a Bachelor of Arts in English, then Education, and a diploma in Special Education. I teach in Delta, and have taught grades Kindergarten- to grade 5. I am now working in Learning Support, helping students to read. Along the way, I learned a lot- from parenting, juggling kids and work, living healthy and I even adopted a very special dog that led to me meeting my husband!

When not teaching, or spending time with my family, I enjoy spending time with my dog, Molly, jogging (I call it ’50 year old runs), and writing.

Having lived through my 20s, 30s, and 40s, and now into my 50s, I offer helpful tips, and ponderings from parenting, dogs, and living in a healthy and ethical way! I think being in your 50s is fabulous! It is time to sit back and acknowledge the hard work of building your career, parenting your children and living your life the best way you know how! I live in the lower mainland of B.C. with my husband, two teens, one dog and two cats. I hope you enjoy my site! Please feel free to comment, question on any of my posts!
